I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
