Iran is willing to resume nuclear talks with Washington provided that it is approached with "respect" and "honor", Tehran's foreign minister has announced.

Abbas Araghchi declared solely negotiations was effective, and shared recent overtures had come from intermediaries to resume talks with the US government. He claimed Iran did not have undeclared nuclear sites, and Iran could not yet allow the global atomic watchdog to visit struck enrichment centers for protective measures.

Navigating a Difficult Route

The foreign minister is walking a difficult route since Iran does not want be seen to be acting from a position of weakness, and he insisted repeatedly that Iran had come out more powerful militarily and psychologically from the coordinated strike on its atomic facilities in June.

He was speaking at a security conference in Tehran where he restated that Iran had "an absolute privilege to enrich uranium on home soil that it will always maintain" – the key factor of the impasse in the previous talks.

Prior Negotiations Abruptly Ended

The previous five rounds of talks between the United States and Iran were ended suddenly and bitter termination on 12 June when the Israeli government, with US support, targeted Iran's enrichment centers in a fortnight-long engagement that concluded with the American leader claiming the sites had been eliminated. Afterward, EU nations employed their right to restore international penalties, but Iran maintains they have not had a significant effect.

Perfect Agreement Suggested

Iran's diplomats claimed they felt they had attained a "magic solution" to the enrichment issue in previous talks, when it was decided an domestic cooperative with American involvement could refine atomic fuel. The two nations would have been able to assert triumph since local refinement would have remained and the US could be confident that Iran's atomic project was entirely non-military.

It had not been agreed in the discussions that US nuclear scientists could operate on Iranian soil, but that was a natural consequence of the consortium proposal. Representatives claimed three times they had secured an understanding with Trump's special envoy the US official only for the agreement to disintegrate due to "detractors in America".

Existing Situation

Iranian officials declared the consortium offer was now withdrawn, but it seems highly likely the suggestion could be revived in certain ways if talks resume.

The US president last week said he had been obtaining communications that Iran sought to reopen negotiations, but in private Iran's diplomats state they are not yet obtaining consistent overtures from Washington either explicitly or from significant local go-betweens, such as the Qatari government, the Egyptian leadership, Oman and Saudi Arabia. The Tehran's diplomatic corps has been accused of inactivity in the face of the US president's straightforward manner, but Tehran states negotiations is not part of a show.

Negotiating Position

In his remarks to the conference, designed to portray the US as a dominant force that abuses the concept of international law, the foreign minister stated the two-week conflict showed the clash could not be ended by armed force. He stated the assaults commenced with a Washington's ultimatum for an total Iran submission and ended with an absolute demand for a halt to hostilities.

Iran is certain the initial Israeli attacks were carried out with total Washington understanding and cooperation, making confidence hard to rebuild.

Dialogue Remains the Primary Resolution

Araghchi stated: "It was not Iran that had fled diplomacy; it was the United States and the Western nations that had repeatedly attempted to impose their desires during the discussions. Dialogue can still be alive and remains the final resolution to address disagreements, but its requirements, guidelines and fundamentals must be adhered to."

"Provided that they speak to the nation of Iran with the language of respect and respect, they will obtain a reply in the same tone."

Repair and Rebuilding

In what is described by Tehran representatives as the battle of repair and recovery, Araghchi said he was assured Iran's defence capabilities "are much stronger than preceding 13 or 14 June of this year. All our capabilities have been reestablished. We acquired many lessons from this conflict; we have discovered our internal vulnerabilities and the shortcomings of the enemy."

He stated: "We successfully passed this war. Our enrichment knowledge, which they aimed to eliminate, remains in place. The installations and gear, if eliminated, will be reconstructed; what is crucial is the will of the nation of Iran and then the social solidarity that they targeted, but did not succeed to destroy. The nation of Iran have become more powerful, more integrated, and more supportive of the administration and the nation in the face of this attack."
